Hotel is easy to find, we had a taxi from Naples airport that took half an hour, and then left via train which is an easy 10 min walk downhill to the station. The hotel is well placed to visit Pompei, Vesuvius, Naples and Sorrento......Herculaneum not so easy from the nearest station as few trains stop at Pompei Scavi, but there is a bigger one 1.5 miles away. Also well placed for a number of restaurants however the hotel does offer a set menu each night at 30 euros a head which is wonderful, but they need to know that morning if you're planning to eat there. They serve a very decent wine too. Pool is small but more than adequate and plenty of sunbeds or chairs. Soft drinks and beers are available in the afternoons. Rooms are basic but very clean, with air conditioning, a decent pressured shower, hairdryer, showergel, soap and also a wardrobe with a few hangers. Bed was a little hard, but that's my preference. Plenty of electrical sockets and mirrors too. Others have mentioned the trains which are very close by but I think the last one was about 11pm and the first 6.30am.. you get used to them in any case. Breakfast was simple but delicious and everything was fresh. The staff are super-nice and super-helpful. We stayed 5 nights and for the price we paid it really couldn't be beaten, if anything I'd have happily paid more!
