This was almost the last room available in Alnwick and certainly the only one available for less than £100. It has a lower star rating than I normally visit, so I did not have particularly high expectations.
The room was very clean, with immaculate bedding, fridge, tea/coffee making and some croissants and jam provided for breakfast.
The twin beds were a bit bouncy for my taste, but except some disturbance from a noisy car and someone running up the stairs I slept soundly.
The bathroom was rather small - I had to arrange myself carefully to avoid the sink when using the loo.
We ate dinner in the restaurant downstairs - I'd advise booking a table in advance because they were fully booked and turning people away. The food was being enjoyed with obvious relish with everyone.
Overall it was a decent choice. Perfectly serviceable room, nice food.
