My recent three-day stay at Seven Crown La Paz Centro Histórico offered a mix of positive aspects and notable drawbacks.
Location: The hotel's location is a significant strong point. It's situated in a quiet area, yet remains highly walkable to key sightseeing attractions, a variety of restaurants, and convenient stores. This balance of tranquility and accessibility was much appreciated.
Service: The employees were consistently polite and helpful. However, there was a noticeable issue regarding our request for no housekeeping. Despite clearly communicating this desire, both by hanging a "Do Not Disturb" sign and verbally confirming with the front desk, our room was serviced daily. While I understand that daily cleaning is standard for most guests, the lack of adherence to our specific request for privacy was disappointing.
Room Comfort: The king-size bed in our room was a significant detractor from the overall comfort of our stay. The bedding lacked a proper fitted sheet and instead utilized a mattress protector with a plastic lining. This made it impossible to stay cool, especially after a hot day, as it was not breathable. Furthermore, the mattress itself was uncomfortably hard. Guests with back sensitivities should certainly consider this before booking.
Amenities: We chose this hotel for its location, access to parking, and the inclusion of breakfast. While the breakfast selection was not extensive, offering primarily fruit, yogurt, and coffee, it served its purpose.
