Good option (not great) in a convent location.
Positive:
- Location was really good for our need, literally by Part Dieu train station, which allows you to get public transport to anywhere in Lyon really easy. Just steps away from the hotel there is a side entrance to the station that makes life easier and the walk felt safer at night. The Rhoneexpress stop is just across the street from the hotel. Please note that the hotel is not on a tourist area, so need to take metro/tram to tourist areas. Westfiled mall is just across from train station
- Room was ok, not too spacious, a bit dated, but with a comfortable queen bed and a single bet for our daughter.
- Room had amenities, including a kettle, small fridge and tea and a safe. There is a water fountain and coffee/tea at the lobby for guests.
- Bathroom was big with ok amenities, but the hair dryer was terrible (would work for 2 minutes ant heat up).
- Breakfast was ok, with decent options, nothing fancy, but good enough. Note that restaurant/breakfast area is small.
- Storage space to leave the luggage after checkout
Negative:
- Considering that room was dated with dark carpet, it did not feel super clean, but decent.
- Hair dryer was one of those built in, not strong enough.
- Location was good (see above), but the surroundings were not touristy
Hotel suited our needs well, but depending on the purpose of the visit, would recommend a hotel closer to old town.
