So we turned up to be told that the air conditioning had been Brocken for at least two weeks and our room was like a sauna.
We were taken to our room as we would be prepared to stay but it really was so hot that we couldn’t breathe .
Why weren’t we told of this before hand ?
The girl on reception was very helpful and advised us and helped find an alternative accommodation and sent an email to hotels.com explaining the situation.
None of this was our fault.
Finally somebody from hotels. Com phoned us at 10pm but by then we were in the utilita arena at a concert so couldn’t possibly hear . We were then called back at 2.30am can you imagine what went through our heads at that time of night especially with frail elderly parents .
WE managed to phone you back at 9.30am and got cut off before we could speak to anyone .
This is very concerning and in my opinion very unprofessional.
We have also been left out of pocket for something that was completely out of our control and could have easily been sorted out before hand …..,,,,
