Location ideal for our visits to family, the staff are friendly, rooms are good for us and the food is what we want for one or two night stays. A friendly welcome and great beer.

Good breakfast, big room, but bathroom was not very clean.

Nice pub, with a couple of decent real ales, and OK but tired bedrooms that could do with a thorough dusting. During two separate 4-day stays I had to ask at the bar for more shower gel - two small sachets just weren’t enough for four days of showers!..

We were delayed for checking in but staff helped us to to come in late. Communication was clear and everyone we spoke to was really helpful. Breakfast was really good and freshly cooked.

No proper guidance as to where we were to go to get the room key, instead had to shout our names in front of all the customers, so that was a little uncomfortable, room said came with hairdryer, it didn’t, the shower head didn’t stay up on the pole had to wedge it in place, green light directly above the bed shone all night, so didn’t get too much sleep as is was so bright in the room, breakfast not explained at all, and when it did come out it had 2 long blonde hairs in it.

Could do with a refurb, rooms were boiling with no fan, shower didn’t work, bed was uncomfy. Breakfast was lovely!

The breakfast was really good as was the lady that served us. The room was nice and big although in need of decorating with ripped off wallpaper and holes in the bathroom, plus the TV didn't work, which I presume the guy behind the bar knew as he didn't seem interested when we told him. All in all a good stay, worth what we paid.

Lovely pub with rooms just off the pub. Room and bathroom were spacious and bed was lovely a large and clean. Windows could do with a lick of paint but just a minor point. Staff were excellent and really helpful.

Good rural pub, within easy reach of Nottingham. evening meal quality and value for money excellent and despite us not arriving until after 7pm dealt with efficiently and in plenty of time to be fed, bar staff very friendly and helpful, included breakfast good choice (only black pudding missing from full English) and freshly cooked to order, Will definitely be booking again for our next event at the Motorpoint Arena.
