My stay at the Hampton by Hilton was disappointing overall. The breakfast was very poor, with low-quality food (the scrambled eggs tasted like they were made from powder), and the dining area was unclean.
Service at reception was also frustrating - initially, the receptionist refused both a late check-out and to store our luggage due to “lack of space.” Only after insisting did he eventually accept the luggage and find a solution, which suggests it was possible all along.
The location is another major downside. From the airport the hotel is impossible to reach without a taxi and even taxis are reluctant to come due to the short distance. Public transport to Alicante is unreliable, with buses that are often late or don’t show up at all. There is also nothing worthwhile in the immediate area — no good restaurants or attractions nearby.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to poor food quality, inconsistent service and an inconvenient location.
