A/C is not able to be controlled in room. It says “Unit Controlled By Wall Thermostat” but there was no wall thermostat. All the rooms are this way. So, the Mgr’s solution of changing rooms doesn’t solve this problem. The place just opened so he may not understand he has this problem yet. Our room showed 78F and 80F when we woke up first morning. We prepaid 2 nights but would not stay the second night because of this. It’s brand new so looks pretty clean, but we had a used Q-Tip in the floor of our bathroom and a coffee stain on a counter top. A/C is why we left. Mgr. would not refund our unused second night. I think langu@ge might have been a barrier to resolving it but he wouldn’t budge. Will contest credit card charge. Hundreds of hotels and this is only my first. Restive review. Good luck!
There are NO wall thermostats.
This unit cannot adjust the temp on the unit itself.

The motel is new only about a year old. The rooms are clean . The rooms are like a suite. They have a small kitchen, work area with a desk and king size bed. The lighting in the rooms is great. The tv is a good size for the room. The room has plenty of storage space. The tub is a bit small . The tub also needs some grab bars to help with getting in and out of the tub/ shower. All in all a nice place to stay for several days. The location is ideal. They do need more trash cans located at the door and lobby. The one that was there filled up quickly.

This Studio 6 is very convenient when the Round Top Antiques show is on. This was my 3rd stay there since December. The staff is lovely, very friendly and welcoming. It’s very close to restaurants and convenient stores. That’s the positive part. Here’s the downside. They need to learn about hygiene and cleanliness. When I checked in on Friday, I soon realized that my room had not been cleaned thoroughly.The sheets had not been changed, the side table had not been wiped, the bathtub still had hair in it and the floor was filthy. Not only did I have to change the sheets on my bed myself, the cleaning lady came to my room the next day, touched every single thing in there but never picked up the dirty sheets that were in a corner of the room. Furthermore , there was a huge wine stain just outside the elevator that wasn’t cleaned the whole time I was there and the trash can in front of the hotel was full (overflowing) from day one and never emptied. Back in December I suggested to the owner/manager that the inside of the elevator should probably be wiped and he agreed. Three months later, it has not been done. I like this hotel and the people who work there but if they want this new location to hold up, they need to care about the place and give it a little bit more love.

The kitchen had nothing in it to use or clean with. The sink and frig were great however. I wanted the manager to know that Room 121 appeared to have a major leak into the wall behind the bath sink as the drywall behind it was wet after using the bath sink. There was not a staff person at the front at checkout so we could not report it. We had a very large palmetto roach in the bath. There were plenty around and I imagine a usual issue in Texas. The hotel was overall very comfortable and clean. Easy parking. It is an accessible distance to Round Top Market.

When we arrived at 8pm was given keys to my room when was wide open and used when we walked in was made to wait while room was somewhat cleaned and was told couldn't be given another room because hotel was fully booked.

The property was very nice, but when you get a kitchenette, there should be utensils like pots and pans and plates, small stuff for you to be able to use in a kitchenette. There was nothing we had to go out and spend extra money in order to be able to cook anything we brought our food and stuff, but we expected there to be a pan or a pot or something but no there was nothing so we spent extra money on something that should’ve been furnished

The room was spotless, but smelled so strongly of Drakkar cologne I thought they had given me someone else's room and even stopped to look before shutting the door behind me. The other issue we had was the blackout curtain. It worked great for the window part, but wasn't long enough or tall enough. The light came out the top and bottom. It's like they measured the window and only got a curtain to cover that. It's located a bit back from the road with no other buildings around it. I didn't realize it was a fancy brand of Motel 6, until I saw the sign. I thought it was a Motel 6, not the Studio 6. Interesting concept. We would stay there again, just bring our eye masks.
