The room had cockroaches, the smell was horrific, floor slats were missing, the furniture was sticky and stained, the room was hot and the air-conditioning was not cooling it properly. The "hot" tub heat did not work and neither did the jets. The property was unkept and the grass was overgrown. I had rented the room for two nights after looking at pictures online, that looked nice. After seeing the outside, in person, i was skeptical but thought i would give it a chance. After walking down the hallway, smelling the horrible smell and then seeing roaches scurrying about, i tried to get a refund so that i could go somewhere more clean and kept but the hotel refused and lied to the company whom i booked the room through, stating that everything was in good working order and their hotel was in good condition. My booking company gave me a refund for the second night but i was stuck with the room for the first night. Big mistake on my part for staying! I did not sleep because of the fear of roaches crawling everywhere. I recorded the filth and roaches as proof of the disgusting conditions. This trip was supposed to be a exciting getaway for my family but instead, we ended up going home the next morning because we were so tired and miserable from our hotel experience. We were even afraid to eat the complimentary breakfast or drink the coffee because of all the roaches we saw crawling. If i could give zero stars, i absolutely would. Read your reviews!! I failed to do it, this time.
