In my opinion, the location of this hotel is terrible. It's far away from Casablanca's main tourist attractions. Also, while I was there, I was descending in an elevator, which suddenly and violently stopped. I was stuck in the elevator for about ten minutes and it wasn't until I called my local driver, that he was able to go into the lobby and let management know of my situation. They were able to free me, but when I asked the management to fill out an incident report, they refused. I wrenched my back during the incident, and fortunately, my back has recovered, but it did hurt me for about a week. I asked Le Meridien if they might do something nice for me, given the situation, but their various managers have been extremely unhelpful and have ghosted me at this point. They offered to give me my room for free, if I sent them receipts, which I did, but I've heard nothing back, despite several follow-up emails from me... I've been to Casablanca many times, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone for two reasons: One, I don't trust the management. Two, in my opinion, the location of the hotel is terrible... I'm sure this review will illicit a reply from the management team at the hotel, denying my words or minimizing the elevator incident, but trust me, it happened....
