We stayed at Hotel Azul for nine nights and absolutely loved it. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautifulâtastefully designed with a peaceful courtyard and charming details throughout.
The location is just about perfect. Itâs a quick five-minute walk to the ZĂłcalo, so everything is easily accessible, but itâs also tucked away on a quieter street. Even during Guelaguetza, we had no trouble getting a good nightâs sleep.
The included breakfast was very goodâfresh, well-prepared, and a nice option to have. That said, we didnât take advantage of it as often as we could have, mostly because we were eager to explore the incredible food scene in Oaxaca.
All in all, Hotel Azul was the perfect base camp for exploring one of the most interesting and vibrant cities Iâve ever visited. Weâd absolutely stay here again.
