PROS:
The facilities:
The room and hotel seem very new. The facility is well taken care of and clean. The amenities in the room are very nice. There were two elevators that were always available and were pretty quick. The layout is very logical and clean (easy to find your room).
Inside the room:
There was a full size refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher; Basically, everything and the kitchen sink. The bathroom was modern and shower was very nice. The room was extremely spacious and luxurious. The staff was great! The front desk was friendly and helpful and were able to answer any questions i had.
The breakfast was very nice and equivalent to some of the better hotels i've stayed.
CONS:
The only detractors that I found were:
The parking. Parking says free, and it is if you park on the street, but the hotel parking lot charges $20 a night. Which is not listed in the hotel information. However, the location is regularly patrolled by municipal police and the area seems generally safe and secluded if not in an older/abandoned part of down.
There is a train that goes by nearly every 2 - 3 hours and honks it's horn loudly. You can hear it easily over the A/C. However, there are other hotels that charge 2 or 3 times as much as the Home2 Suites that are subject to the same thing in the area, so it's just a thing.
The only other thing i found as a detractor, but it's really not a big thing, is EVERYTHING outside the room is extra cost (workout room, etc...).
