The approach to the hotel was quite pleasant, unfortunately, that's where it ended. The receptionist was not exactly welcoming (barely a greeting and no smile).
When we got to our room we found the bin still full from the previous occupants. We do understand that things can be missed,but when I reported it to reception hardly any reaction was noticeable. When asked for a second time later, she was quite abrupt and said "yes, it WILL get done" with no hint of an apology.
Throughout our stay, we did not see a single member of staff smile or look as though they wanted to be there.
The room was very basic, only 1 socket (behind the kettle), no bedside lights and tatty (torn) wallpaper.
We attended a function and the food was very nice and well presented however the service was a bit slow.
