My wife and I stayed here because we wanted an inexpensive way to stay in Montreal, and we didn’t need anything more than a bed. It’s basically a hostel, but with doors in front of the bunk beds…and the bunk beds have a TV, which we didn’t care about.
We probably won’t go again. The people behind the desk were good people, but literally were wore sorry clothes and didn’t look like they had had showered in a while.
The bed was surprisingly comfortable, though a bit claustrophobic. The heater / cooling wasn’t very exact, so we got a little hot during the the night.
The bathroom experience was ok…quite a few people when we were there spreading their stuff all over the floor.
In the photos they have people sitting in the “rooms” chatting with other people who are staying. That would never happen, because the hall is almost totally dark. No one is hanging out.
This probably comes across as a negative review, but it was what it was. I felt safe there, and there was lots of different types of people staying there. It wasn’t our thing. In the future, I would stay at an actual hostel, because then I feel like it would be more of a meeting/community experience. This was a bit weird, and we don’t plan on staying at a place like this again.
