The walls are practically paper thin, you can hear the person in the next room turning on the water in their bathroom from your room.
The guest in the next room kept banging their door very loudly repeatedly after 9 pm. It was scary as a single female traveller to think what type of violant or dangerous people come to stay at the hotel. Never came across a situation like this anywhere in Japan, especially at a hotel.
