We had a wonderful stay at Whisper Athens and were so glad we booked it. The location in Psirri was excellent for us, with coffee shops, restaurants, dessert spots, and little boutiques practically right outside the door. Sightseeing was nearby, and having a supermarket close by made it easy to pick up water and other essentials.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. When we checked in, we were shown up to our room, given help carrying a bag up the stairs, and walked through the room’s amenities. There was also a thoughtful welcome basket with a note and some treats. We were encouraged to reach out anytime we had questions, which made us feel very welcome. It’s a smaller boutique hotel without a staffed front desk around the clock, but when we reached out after hours, the staff was very quick to respond.
Our room was very clean and surprisingly spacious—even compared with many hotel rooms we’ve stayed in back in the U.S. The bed was comfortable, the towels were nice, and the bathroom was spotless. We were also fortunate to have a room with a little balcony, which was an unexpected surprise and one of our favorite things about the stay.
There isn’t an elevator, so that’s something to keep in mind if stairs are a concern, but it wasn’t an issue for us at all. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again.
