The hotel is located in a perfect spot for transportation where subway lines 3 and 4 meet. The subway station entrance is 20 steps away from the hotel lobby. The famous Myeongdong street is about a 15- to 20-minute walk. However, if you would like to try the restaurants where locals go, you will find many here. You just need to search. My wife and I accidentally walked into a street where all the young people hang out, which is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Also, the Hanok village (traditional house area) is just across the street.
I was a bit hesitant about virtual check-in, but it was actually better to communicate using the Hotels.com message feature than calling or walking to the front desk. If you ask for laundry detergent or an extra towel, they will hang them on your door within a few minutes.
The elevator is the only inconvenience, as others indicated. The wait time could be up to 10 minutes during check-in or check-out times.
The room we reserved was a bit small for us, so we might try a larger room if we stay again next time.
