Not bad, but could be much better.
Ok, so I stayed at this hotel 18 years ago when it was Ibis Hotel. It was adequate then, and it still is now that it has changed names a couple of times and is called Anna Hotel. It doesn't seem to have changed much since the times of Ibis, however it somehow feels like a work in progress. I like this hotel for a couple of reasons mainly, first is its location, and second: the swimming pool.
Location, for me, couldn't be any better. It's right next to Souq El-had, one of the biggest traditional markets in Morocco. And there are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby as well.
The swimming pool is just awesome. It's big, always clean.
Now the things I didn't like. I hadn't made a reservation when I walked in to the hotel, and I asked them for the price of a family suite, but the price I was given was much higher than the one I saw online. I asked them if they would match the online price, which would benefit them since they wouldn't be paying the online site fees, but I was astonished that they refused to do so. The front desk clerk actually advised me to make the booking online. So I did. I booked a suite, which I must say was a bit disappointing. The suited was comprised of two separate bedrooms, both of which opened into a small entrance hall, or sitting area, and on one side was the bathroom . However this sitting area had nothing to sit on, not even a carpet. The A/C was available in the main bedroom, but not in the other one, and shower drain always flooded.
