I’ve stayed at quite a few 4-star and 5-star hotels before, and my experiences were usually great. But this time, my stay at this so-called 4-star hotel was honestly awful.
First of all, the hotel looks extremely outdated. The decor and furniture feel old, and the lobby is tiny—there’s barely enough room for one table and a few chairs.
Second, the room was also very small. For two people, it felt cramped and uncomfortable. Even the light switches looked worn out, and the curtains were visibly dirty, which was really disappointing.
Third—and this was something I was actually looking forward to—the “heated pool” was a big letdown. It’s not a real pool at all. It’s basically the size of a hot tub, and the water wasn’t even warm.
The gym was just as disappointing: there were only three treadmills, and the space was so small it barely felt like a gym.
But the worst part happened on the third day. We requested housekeeping, and when we came back that evening, the room was a complete mess. Our backpack was left on the floor, and our clothes and shoes were scattered everywhere—total chaos. It was shocking and unacceptable.
We came to Montreal hoping to enjoy a wonderful Christmas holiday, but this hotel stay completely ruined the experience. On top of that, the restaurant next door was overpriced and the food was honestly not good.
I definitely won’t choose this hotel again. For the same price, there are so many better 4-star options in Montreal.
