This accommodation was an absolute disgrace and without question one of the worst places we have ever encountered. The listing is grossly misleading and does not reflect the actual condition of the property in any way.
Inside the apartment, the neglect was immediately obvious. The overall cleanliness was completely unacceptable. The sofa bed had crumbs on it, and the floor was extremely sticky — it was not a place where you would feel comfortable walking barefoot. There were also dirty handprints and stains on the walls, along with damaged and peeling paint, creating a general feeling of dirtiness and lack of basic upkeep. This is not a matter of personal taste, but of basic hygiene and minimum standards.
The bathroom was equally unacceptable. We arrived to find the bathtub already filled with standing water, which is unhygienic, disturbing, and shocking for a place that is supposed to be ready for guests.
Because of these conditions, we checked out immediately and contacted the host right away. We did not stay even a single minute. Despite this, the host refused to issue any refund, not even a partial one.
This experience feels deliberately misleading and completely unprofessional. No traveler should be put in this situation, and Hotels.com should seriously reconsider allowing this property to remain on the platform.
