First and foremost, on duty Manager Carlos Reyes is really a douchebag (not using the word casually, and wish I could write something worse). Check-in time was 4 pm, and I arrived after a long drive at 8:30 pm, only to be told that "they are inspecting the room", that is, room was not ready at 8:30 pm even though I booked the room about 2 weeks ago, and paid in full in advance. Manager was trying to avoid me for 20-30 minutes, kept me waiting. The girls at the reception were nice, and they could only tell me that "manager is on the phone" in the back office! Manager finally came out 30 minutes later, and told me that "it happens a lot". I told him that I have been traveling at least for 30 years and staying at hotels around the world, and this is the first time that my room was NOT ready 4.5 hours AFTER check-in time, and for a fully-paid room. He tried to give me some BS. I directly told him that it would NOT be very wise of him if he thinks I am some dumb guy from a remote village, who is staying at a hotel for the first time.
Now, the hotel is new (opened Oct 2025), and neat and clean. Parking is ample. Rooms are big and nice. Gym is good, pool is good. Only complaint is food. It is really bad quality scrambled eggs, sausages, and there is only 1 person attending the food section, filling up coffee, cleaning tables, etc. see that she could not keep up. Not her fault though. It is management's fault. Food quality and food service MUST be improved.
