This hotel is not a national chain, and it shows in the very best possible way from the very first moment.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as it was presented in the ad. While a bit on the small side, space was utilized well.
This unique property is a very interesting concept, done well. Using shipping containers as commercial property is nothing new, but, this is the first example I have seen repurposed as a hotel.
The tub being the central focus of the main room had my wife as soon as we walked in the door. Although, it does sound strange, it worked – well. The semiprivate patio would have been perfect, but for its proximity to the roof bar.
The in room snacks and bath products felt like a cheap afterthought as opposed to a thoughtful part of a five star experience.
My wife and I were pleased and would book again were we staying in Waco.
Pros: unique, interesting and comfortable
Cons: the rooftop bar and adjacent train tracks can be disturbing
