Nights: 5 | Sleep: 0
Casa Cibeles has many good attributes — great location in Roma Norte, clean apartments, friendly staff, and a nice rooftop terrace. All of that works perfectly… as long as sleep is not important to you.
We spent five nights in a street-facing two-bedroom apartment, and the lack of soundproofing makes it feel like living on the street. The main issues are the nightclub and live-music venues directly across the street. Looking back at past reviews, this has been raised for over two years, yet nothing has been done.
A typical night:
8:30–9pm: loud music starts
Until 3am: constant heavy beats
3–4am: shouting and noise from people leaving
4–6am: brief calm — your only chance to sleep
From 6am: traffic and garbage trucks take over
I raised this after the first night and was told nothing could be done, as all two-bedroom units face the street. I also (naively) believed the club would close on weekends — which makes little sense.
On the last day, we were offered a one-bedroom, but by then it was too late and not suitable for a family.
This place has real potential, but until management invests in proper soundproofing, I wouldn’t return.
