Customer Care?
We stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels a lot. I have never had one give me an issue with asking to stay an hour after check-out. First off, having an 11am check-out in 2025 is crazy. Secondly, I have never been given trouble to ask for an hour later of a check-out. Given the fact that I could have booked other rooms in this hotel for that day; they could have been kind to give me the hour or even say they would charge me for the extra hour but to give me 30 minutes and then call 15 mins into the 30 to ask if I was booking another night was absurd. I got out of the room and worked in the lobby since I needed more than 30 minutes and while there - the manager had a screaming match with another guest. Whatever or however the other guest was being had no bearing to raise your voice (while they were there with 3 kids) to your hotel guest in the main lobby for all to hear. It was unnecessary, bad customer service and just an overall - never stay at this hotel again vibe for sure. Luckily for guests, there are over a dozen hotels within a 1 mile radius that may have a better idea of customer care. I never right anything but good reviews and typically skip a review if I had a bad one but this stay really had me shaking my head.
