I have been a Hotels.com user for 10 years. I have never written a review before. This stay was challenging to say the least. Upon arrival, refrigerator, washer, dryer, hot water, bedroom television did not work. Kitchen sink backed up with each use. No water pressure. Roaches in the bathrooms. Maintenance fixed the hot water issues the next day. The fix for the refrigerator was to unplug it and plug it back in. This didn't fix the issue. We had to through away the groceries that we had purchased. They brought in another frig the following day & fixed the washer & dryer. I asked to manager to compensate us for the food that we had to through away with a day at the hotel buffet. No response. The jacuzzis' at the units are not usable. Lost power & water for hours one evening. The pool shown in the picture is not what is there. The restaurants and stores are not within walking distance you will need a vehicle. On the last morning before checkout. (3) housekeeping staff come into the unit. Count the plates, knives, cups, glasses & towels. Humiliating to say the least. The language barrier is huge, pictures & the Whatsapp are a must. You will need Netflix account to watch television. This resort was listed as 4.5 stars; it could be but not at this time. Shouldn't have to spend time throughout your vacation waiting for maintenance. If they take the time to count the items in the kitchen, they should also make sure that everything is functional.
