We had a wonderful stay at the Guesthouse for the weekend! The house was lovely-very well kept, clean and comfortable. The hosts, Valerie and Jason, were very welcoming and friendly. They gave us great suggestions for dining and activities. The breakfast was delicious with fresh baked pastries. The parking was easy and the location great for walking to dinner and shops! Really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay there again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house is lovely and the our room was outstanding! Very comfortable bed and bedding and beautifully updated bathrooms. The owners were also very welcoming and kind. Highly recommend!

Canandaigua Guesthouse is a wonderful historic B&B that makes your stay so comfortable. I had great sleep on the king sized bed in the Leopard room which is spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious every day with homemade cherry scones, fresh fruit, and an authentic Spanish torta. The hosts Valerie and Jason are welcoming and very knowledgeable of things to do: wineries, ice cream (Spotted Duck), dinner (Pintxo)! Highly recommend and I will be returning.

We had an excellent weekend staying at the Canandaigua Guesthouse! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and gave great recommendations on fun things to do and see in the area. The breakfasts were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed spending each morning out on the veranda. Our room was very well appointed with all the comforts one could need. So many thoughtful details we were pleasantly surprised by. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay at Canandaigua Guesthouse. Jason and Valerie are incredibly warm and welcoming hosts, and they’ve done an amazing job updating the house while still preserving all of its historic charm. Everything feels thoughtful, comfortable, and beautifully done. They are also excellent cooks. The breakfasts were wonderful, and we especially appreciated the homemade touches like the yogurt and ice cream. Those little details made the stay feel much more like being welcomed into someone’s home than staying at a cold or impersonal hotel. The location is excellent very convenient to downtown Canandaigua, and everything we wanted to explore in the Finger Lakes, but the guesthouse itself still feels peaceful and relaxing. Jason and Valerie were genuinely kind and made us feel completely at home. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it without hesitation. It was the perfect place for our trip and one of those stays that really adds to the overall experience of visiting an area.

A lovely house that played modern furnishings and wall hangings against a backdrop of nineteenth century architecture. Rooms are a good size and light-filled. The overall effect is calming with a touch of funky. Great location.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was lovely. The house itself is beautiful. Clean and updated with lovely decor. The shower was beautiful, they have heated toilet seats and a towel warmer. The 2 small dogs, Hope and Lola, were sweet and lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Valerie, the hostess, makes ice cream and yogurt and chocolates. Jason was warm and welcoming upon arrival, showing us the main areas and our room. We felt so cozy and it was the perfect place to stay. Thank you Valerie and Jason for the lovely visit. Will absolutely be recommending to friends and family.

Canandaigua Comfort & Class

We loved our stay! Our Hosts were amazing, welcoming and attentive. Location was close to all and we used this comfortable quiet base for our day trips to Niagara Falls & Finger Lakes. Great parking, spacious guest room & bathroom. We’ll definitely be back when in the area!

Valarie and Jason were incredible hosts - they made the visit to Canandaigua even better. Between the really cool rooms (very clean and up to date), the beautiful home and decor, their adorable dogs and exceptional breakfasts - we cannot wait for our next trip to the lake! Everything they did was top notch and personalized - do yourself a favor and stay here because you'll have the best time!

Loved it here! Valerie & Jason were wonderful hosts - so welcoming and relaxed. Breakfasts were delicious and winding down at the end of the day with a glass of wine was so nice in the comfy lounge/dining area. We really enjoyed meeting them and their home was beautiful inside and out. Modern amenities blended with classic features made it very comfortable for our three night stay. Thanks for having us!

The hosts were friendly and helpful. Their recommendations for restaurants were great. Breakfast at the guesthouse was always very good. Best place to stay

We discovered our new go to place to stay in Canandaigua! We visit often to see family and often have a hard time finding a nice place to rest our head that is close to family, nice and affordable. Canandaigua Guest house reminded me of a Kimpton Boutique Hotel, my favorite. The rooms were very clean, exquisitely decorated, and comfy beds. The breakfast offered in the morning was perfect, you could grab a piece of homage pumpkin bread and yogurt to go or toast your self a bell and have it by the morning fire. This is my new Canandaigua home. Thank you Valarie!

This four-bedroom B&B is exceptional. Hosts Jason and Valarie kept the charm of this 1800s house when they modernized with top-of-the-line appliances and furnishings but kept the original wood floors, hand-painted decor in the dining room and decorative crystal windows. And our hosts were charming as well. Breakfast during our stay included homemade yogurt, pastries, breads, jams and a Spanish egg and onion torte. A special treat was homemade ice cream. And they have snacks and everything to make drink if you bring the alcohol. Canandagua is qient and lovely. I recommend this for a perfect Upstate NY retreat.

Valerie and Jason are the consummate hosts! They were always willing to answer questions and were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious (especially Jason’s tortilla). The accommodation was clean and spacious with high end finishes in the bathroom. Located close to the heart of Canadaigua, the building is located close to many excellent restaurants. I highly recommend the Canadaigua Guesthouse.
