We had such a lovely stay at the Heron Cay B&B in Mount Dora. The rooms are so quaint and full of beautiful antiques—it really gave the whole place a warm, homey feel that made it easy to relax right away.
Margie, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, and you can tell she really cares about her guests.
One of our favorite things was the little pathway behind the property that leads straight into town. Everything was within walking distance, which made exploring Mount Dora so easy and enjoyable.
And breakfast… honestly, that was the highlight. Margie makes everything fresh for her guests, and it was absolutely delicious every morning.
The only small downside was that our room was next to the owner’s garage, so we did hear some noise when it was being used early or late, and one day there was what sounded like a shop vac that was pretty loud. That said, it did not take away from what was otherwise a great stay, and I imagine the upstairs rooms are probably quieter.
Overall, we really loved our time here and would definitely come back.
