The hotel looks brand new, but don’t let that fool you. When we arrived at 3:00 pm (not early), the front desk staff were having computer issues. That happens, but they relied on one person running around to see which rooms were ready, leaving quite a few guests waiting.
When we finally got our key, the floors were filthy and stained, and the bathroom was missing drywall, as if it hadn’t been finished. The walls were paper thin—we could hear everything around us. To make matters worse, we had no hot water the next morning.
When we told the front desk, he simply wrote it down and said it happens randomly. No apology, no refund or discount—nothing. On top of that, I was charged an extra $87 in addition to the $25 damage hold. When I questioned it, I was told the employee who checked me in made a mistake and that I would be refunded both charges within a week.
Breakfast was supposed to start at 6:30 am, but it didn’t. The pancake machine wasn’t working, and our kids wouldn’t eat. We ended up leaving late and driving 13 hours without showers.
Overall, I was shocked by everyone’s “oh well” attitude. We will not be staying here again.
