Our experience at Haven was very disappointing. The first room was not the room that we had booked and a bad smell and was also also construction on the level which wasn’t advertised. The second room was worse — visible mould, damp air from the AC, wet sheets, a broken balcony door, a dirty bathroom and flies in the room.
I was told three times that no refund would be given, and instead the staff kept trying to move us into different rooms, even though I made it clear we just wanted to leave. There was also miscommunication — two different people both claimed to be the manager, with one making a completely false statement about us “having a car on the way.”
It took three separate attempts before a refund was finally approved. To make matters worse, the hotel later recorded the reason as “inconvenience,” which is simply untrue. We did not leave because of inconvenience — we left because the rooms were unsafe and not as advertised.
