Has potential but was very disappointing
Unfortunately my husband and I described our stay as a comedy of errors. The property has potential - but they were understaffed which really hurt the experience. Our room was not ready at check in. At breakfast, our food was cold. The coffee was cold. The waitress, Sierra, who was very nice by the way, advised she would get us coffee from the lobby- which is free but we were still charged $10 for coffee. The people next to us sent their food back and left.
I would describe the property as family tolerant. That’s okay- they were clear about it on the website so we knew what the rules were. However, room service was limited to Hibachi- with a large majority being uncooked options, which our children won’t eat. The TV didn’t work due to a universal remote issue - but staff came up several times to reset it for us.
Overall, the staff were very friendly. They seemed understaffed and overwhelmed, but you could tell they tried. I wouldn’t personally describe this as a luxury hotel, but everyone’s opinion is different on that. They try- but maybe too hard. For example, they clearly put scent in the air/air ducts, but it’s very strong - in a luxury hotel, it’s pleasant but it’s not overpowering.
I wish this property the best. It has a lot of potential and I think it can be great. We won’t be returning, but hopefully others have a better experience
