Multiple Stays, Recurring Safety and Maintenance Failures
I travel for work and gave this property multiple chances. I am done.
July stay: the air conditioning was completely out and no one contacted me before check in. I could have made other arrangements.
Separate stay: a system failure allowed another guest to access my room with their key card while I was inside. That was terrifying and completely unacceptable. A hotel's most basic job is keeping your room secure.
Most recent stay: my 5th floor room had an active roof leak. Rain was visibly bubbling behind the paint and soaking into the carpet all night. The dripping eventually woke us. That room should have never been assigned to a guest.
Three separate stays. Three serious failures involving comfort, security, and basic safety. This is a pattern, not bad luck. I genuinely feel for the front desk staff who are left to face guests with problems that are clearly coming from above them. They deserve better too. Business travelers especially, look elsewhere in Birmingham.
