I stay in a lot of hotels. I’m already on night 30 for the year and it’s only September, so I get around. I also tend to take hotel reviews with a grain of salt because, let’s face it, people are much more likely to write a review when they’re angry. I also realize things like noise can be subjective.
That said, the noise in this place is NEXT LEVEL.
You can literally hear the person above you walk across the room clear as day. I live in a two-story home and can’t hear my dogs running around and causing a ruckus upstairs, yet here I knew every single time the person above me got up to pee in the middle of the night. At times, when someone upstairs moved around, the TV in our unit actually rattled. It was insane. If you stay here, bring earplugs. I’m serious.
The other comfort issue was the sheets. They felt like sandpaper. I’m not particularly picky about hotel bedding, but these felt incredibly cheap and were so rough that I seriously considered going out and buying sheets for the stay.
We were two women traveling together, and during our stay, the key-card access to the exterior building doors and elevators had been disabled. Essentially, anyone could walk into the building, get on the elevator, go to any guest floor, and walk right up. Key-card access exists for a reason, and I really don’t understand why it would be disabled.
The condo itself was awesome. Great layout, great amenities, plenty of space, and overall a fabulous unit. We really liked the fireplaces.
