Front desk staff - not the best experience
We arrived just after midnight following a long journey, and all we needed was to check in and get some rest. Unfortunately, there was no one at the reception desk when we arrived. After waiting a few minutes, a staff member finally showed up.
The first thing he said to me was simply: āWhat is the name?ā ā no greeting, no āGood morning,ā and no apology for the wait. It felt quite abrupt and unprofessional.
Typically, when you're handed your room key, you're informed about breakfast times and where it's served. This didnāt happen until I asked. Instead, he immediately launched into a detailed explanation about the swimming pool ā which, at that hour, I wasnāt the least bit interested in. I had to interrupt him.
Iām not sure if this staff member was from the main reception team or just covering, but either way, I strongly suggest the hotel provides proper customer service training for anyone working at the front desk. First impressions matter, and this wasnāt a great one.
That said, the rest of our short overnight stay was fine and without further issues.
