I booked rooms for employees traveling for work. The hotel called me the morning of their stay and asked if it was ok to put them in a smoking room. I told them no, that none of them were smokers, and thought it was taken care of. When the employees showed up to check in, they were taken to the smoking floor. When they got off the elevator, they said they could hardly breathe and could not handle staying the night. When we tried to settle this with the hotel, they said it was our fault for booking in the smoking section and would not refund our money. I was told I would have to take it up with Hotels.com to see if could get a refund. So I had 4 employees traveling who then had no place to stay and no refund. Do better for your customers!
