Im not sure what some of the bad reviewers expect for the price and the location, but for the price its a great place to stay, we'll be back for sure

The Virginian is a small and older motel in small town southern Virginia. If you are looking for a bed for a few nights this is the place. If you're looking for fancy, look elsewhere, The staff was helpful, the beds comfortable, and the location convenient for what I needed. It is also pet friendly for a $10 per night pet fee, much less than I have paid elsewhere.

The bed felt real good, the air conditioning is good, the wifi is stable, the bathroom is good, the only thing I would've liked to see, is the curtains being above the air conditioner, to where they don't cover the air conditioner, and keep the light from coming into the room. I probably didn't understand how to clip the curtains together, so that's on me, and I apologize for that. Great price, everything is excellent! The staff know me too. I definitely recommend The Virginian Motel!

Excellent location for a golf weekend. Convenient to restaurants and gas stations. The staff was appreciative of our stay and offered to help in any way.

6/10 - Boa

The staff was wonderful as we had a very late arrival and they were extremely understanding however the motel is clearly old and not much is being put into its upkeep. Also we were not made aware the room we were given was one where smoking was permitted. However, it was a last minute booking and the proximity to fairy stone park was ideal. The ac was cold and shower was clean, and that’s all we really needed for the trip.

Minimally acceptable. Property in poor state of repair. Television service is all streaming and impossible to watch even local news and weather. We were assigned a smoking room as there nothing else available. The one ice machine is not available at night or early morning. Definitely would not recommend this facility

The staff is nice. Virginian Motel is under new management. The staff knows me because I was here for 4 days before, and I was here one more time before then, and that was since my birthday in November of last year. The staff is kind, the property is good, the cleanliness and fantastic, the amenities are nice, I just wish there were outlets next to the bed to plug phone chargers in, and I wish there was a mini refrigerator to put things that need to be cold in, like certain medications, and beverages and such, otherwise fantastic! I definitely recommend staying at Virginian Motel!
