The location in Kihei was very convenient and the value for the price was overall very good. The condo was clean and well furnished. Communications with the guest contact was very prompt and responsive and we ended up in a top floor unit in building 9 that had a large roof top area for sunbathing or other activities that was very nice. It did not have a beach view but it was within walking distance of the beach and there was a pool on the premises.
I have one complaint about my specific unit at the Kiehi Kai Nani Condos which is that there were no window coverings in the den that opened up onto the balcony with an all glass wall and sliding door. The back side of the condo faced a parking lot that was uphill and sloped down towards our unit. There was no privacy and being in the den or kitchen was like being on the stage of an amphitheater, especially after dark, for an audience in the parking lot or the condos adjacent to it which faced our unit.
The windows on the west side of the den that catch the setting sun also had no curtains or blinds which made the room uncomfortable afternoon sun uncomfortable. I went to the back of the building to look at the condos from the parking lot and every other unit had curtains. Our unit was the only one that did not have curtains or blinds.
Everything else about the condo was fine but I would have really liked to have curtains or blinds on the glass wall of the den and kitchen facing the parking lot.
