Check-In Nightmare
• I first tried to contact the hotel via WhatsApp on Friday, as the reception is closed on Sundays. I received no reply. I followed up again on Saturday—still nothing.
• Only after contacting Expedia did someone finally respond and provide me with an access code. Even then, I was told to reach out again for further instructions.
• The receptionist, Martina, was extremely unhelpful. When I finally checked in, I discovered other people’s luggage in my room. I tried to get help, but again, no one responded. I had to go through Expedia a second time, who were themselves shocked at the lack of professionalism.
• Martina advised me to bring the other guests' bags to reception myself. When I refused to touch someone else’s belongings, she told me, “I’m not your friend and reception doesn’t work.”
Room and Facilities
• The room had no soap or basic amenities.
• The hotel is located in a very sketchy part of town.
• Upon check-in, I was charged a tourist tax rate appropriate for a 4-star hotel, despite this property being, at best, a 2-star with 1-star service.
Overall Impression
• The lack of communication, missing amenities, and dismissive attitude from staff made for a truly terrible experience.
• I strongly urge the owners to provide proper training to their employees, as the current level of service is unacceptable.
Advice to Future Guests
• Be prepared for no support from reception, problems with room access, and a lack of basic hospitality.
