We found that our room was comfortable and offered a great view of the lake. The highlights of our stay was the dining. Vicky & her team were outstanding â warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about their work.
Unfortunately, our experience ended on a disappointing note. On our final morning, we had an early departure and had made arrangements the night before â with both the front desk and the restaurant â for a light breakfast or takeaway option (as most hotels typically offer) around 7:30 a.m. (breakfast officially begins at 8). We were assured this would not be a problem, and saw the evening staff write a note for the morning team.
However, when we arrived the next morning, the gentleman opening the restaurant was extremely unprofessional. Despite the prior arrangements, he was clearly upset by our presence, yelling and cursing as he went about setting up. Not only were we denied the breakfast we had planned for, but we were also treated with complete disrespect.
When we brought the incident to the manager, Richard, during checkout, his response was underwhelming: âI will talk to him and I apologize on his behalf.â No attempt was made to resolve the situation, offer us anything in the moment, or provide any compensation â and no follow-up came afterward.
While the hotel has many positive aspects, the lack of professionalism & accountability in handling our departure left a lasting negative impression. Sadly, we would not return or recommend Hotel Hotel Clementina.
