The heater wasn't working and the room was quite cold. The walls of the room had cracks and flakes of paint were falling from the ceiling in the bathroom .The constant ringing of the loud entry bell made sleeping additionally difficult. The front door was nonetheless unlocked and on Sunday morning people poured into the property which also seemed to have a church service. Nicely located by the sea, 15-20 minutes from the nearest train station, arriving in the evening for check-in became complicated without a reception, especially when having to communicate only with non-English speaking cleaners who still had to do everything that the manager couldn't be doing in his absence apart from what he dictated in constant text messages.
