The room was clean upon arrival, and overall the hotel had a certain historic charm. That said, it is important to note that the building is over 200 years old, which comes with some limitations that may not be ideal for all guests. For example, there is a narrow, dimly lit, and uneven staircase, and no elevator is available. This could be challenging for anyone with mobility concerns and would have been helpful to know in advance.
Parking is also something to consider. There is no on-site parking in the French Quarter, and while the hotel does offer secure parking, it comes at an additional cost of $45 per day.
There were a few minor service issues as well. We requested extra bedding, but it was unavailable. Housekeeping did provide clean towels during our stay, but the beds were not made. None of these issues were major, but they are worth noting for future guests who may expect a bit more in terms of convenience or service.
Overall, the stay was acceptable, but
