A lovely building but really lacking from a service front.
Was told on arrival that is been upgraded by management to a hot tub superior room… when I’d already booked and paid for it.
Was then told the restaurant was running a limited menu due to ‘menu changing’. There was pizza and pasta, neither of which I could eat being GF. We booked this hotel for proximity to the airport knowing there were no food options around but that they had a restaurant with an extensive menu. Instead we had to take a return taxi to a nearby town for dinner.
The hot tub- buttons worn and 2 corners of keys not working (also no instructions). No covers for the outside furniture on terrace so when the rain stopped we couldn’t sit outside as all cushions were soaked.
Breakfast was POOR. Far from what was expected.
Receptionist although very polite, just didn’t seem to be able to identify or deal with any problems. Following an email asking what time we wanted to check in (and saying 1pm) we arrived at 2pm and the room was t ready. Having been in the crazy storms we were soaked through and told just to have a seat for an hour… an offer of a towel would’ve been appreciated!
Lovely building and room- service sorely lacking , especially for the money.
