It was a very bad experience as we weren’t able to enter the hotel apartment with the key as it wasn’t fit into the key hole for some reason. Called the host (Nicole) & was not helpful at all, After an hour, the cleaning lady came with the spare key. She tried for 30mins & it didn’t work either. Nicole didn’t offer help until we asked for a solution as it was almost 1030pm. She even ignored our call & WhatsApp messages. All our stuff was inside the room & we just flew in from Hong Kong after a 13hrs long haul flight + 2 hrs train from Milan to Venice & had nothing to change for the night. They then moved us to the nearby hotel, we slept in our dirty clothes & I didn’t even take off my contact lens. It was an extremely tough night for me & my daughter. The locksmith came the next morning & opened the door eventually but the host never apologize or showed any courtesy. Even the stranger guy next door offered the living room for us to stay overnight but we kindly rejected. Overall the experience was a nightmare & we are very disappointed. Nicole was like disappeared & never asked how we were or check in with us after the chaotic episode, as if we were at fault & she has nothing to do with this. If the key/ lock is so unreliable & easily locked people the out, suggest they have to change it to a better lock. They obviously not caring for the guests & has no sense of urgency. We were questioned if we went to the correct room and using the same key for we only have 1 key assigned!
