They said hotels.com already assigned my room number so I couldn’t have a ground floor room. Had to carry all luggage up 3 plus flights of stairs. Toilet kept clogging and when I called she didn’t know if they had a plunger and said you can come down and get it if they do. I asked if maintenance can come and she said they were off duty. I said okay so……? She said she would find out about plunger. She then brought one up. Cords and adapters hanging everywhere in room. Sink drains very slowly. Shower doesn’t really get hot. Ice machine downstairs didn’t work. The stairs to third floor very steep and handrails dangerous. I understand it’s a historical property but they can still do some common upgrades without altering the historical charm. Breakfast was nice, bed was comfortable.
