The staff was efficient and pleasant, and I appreciated the location. The bed was comfortable and the shower easy to use, with good water pressure. The shade darkened the room effectively. The coffee maker worked well and had a nice selection. There was a QR code to tip the hotel staff without needing cash--brilliant! My concerns were that the room design was fun, but not functional, and many amenities didn't work as well as at other hotels in this price range. There was lots of lighting in the bathroom area but pretty much none in the bedroom area, so it was difficult to work in the evening or read in bed. The heating was responsive but very loud and woke me several times during the night (I'll add I'm a light sleeper). There was no towel hook near the sink, there were no hangers for pants, the steamer and hairdryer had problems, and there was only one garbage can (in the bathroom, not near the fridge and coffee makers). Some wallpaper was peeling a bit, and some paint was chipped. The stay was fine, but I was disappointed.
