Our stay was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Within the first couple of nights, I woke up covered in what appeared to be bed bug bites. When we checked the bed, we also found mould/damp spots on the sheet underneath the pillow, which was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of the room.
The food was inedible, and we couldn’t enjoy any meals at the hotel. There was very little choice, the quality was extremely poor, and we ended up having to eat elsewhere, which added unexpected expense to our holiday.
After raising our concerns, we were moved to another room, but this only created more problems. The new room was directly above a karaoke bar, so the noise continued late into the evening and made it very difficult to relax or sleep. The floor in the room was also noticeably uneven, giving the impression that the building was poorly maintained.
We had booked and paid for a sea view room, but the view was largely obscured by trees. It was very disappointing as it did not match what we had expected when making the booking.
To make matters worse, there were insects crawling out of the bathroom sink, which was both unhygienic and extremely unpleasant to witness.
After just two nights, we felt we had no option but to leave the hotel and pay to move elsewhere so we could salvage the rest of our holiday. This was an expense we should never have had to incur.
Overall, our experience was extremely disappointing.
