Better rooms down the street
The staff was short handed so couldnāt get a room cleaned but office did leave note saying to call for towels etc etc.at night is when it was really bad with all the noise up and down the hall after midnight. It was continuous till around 3:30 am when I was finally able to sleep.

Front Staff was AMAZING!!!!
I would like to give a personal shout out to the front desk staff Ro, she was such a delightful woman from the moment I approached the desk. She greeted me with open arms and was so helpful, she was attentive and made me feel valued. I truly appreciate it and will stay here again if and when I come back and visit Shreveport to see my friends.

Pet fee not as advertised!!!
Pet fee on hotels.com said $50 but staff made very questionable modifications to paperwork making the pet fee $75. False advertising and probably the front desk is pocketing the extra $25. My small yorkie is cleaner than all children but thereās no extra fee for dirty childrenā¦

The benchmark
Marzee created me at the desk at check-In with a welcoming face. We were on our way home and stayed for the night. Kevin was very welcoming and conversational with my wife and I. Steven was a great asset running a first class bar. Thank you for the great day.

The room had a very foul smell. The shower was so dirty. The ledge where you place your foot caused me to fall because it was only attached by caulking.

This hotel over booked my stay and left my family stranded and we had to drive to Longview tx to lay our heads down at 2am.. I donāt recommend this hotel or management

Toilet was leaking. Price was a bit much and once you got there they required a $50 incident fee. Which I did get back but stillā¦ā¦.. Breakfast for three people was $55! A bit pricey

Very disappointed. Pool was under renovation. The hotel lobby smelled like sewerage walking towards the elevators. The a/c only had the unit on the floor with no vents in the ceilings or walls. A/C ran all day and all night although it was on auto. The last day both elevators were not working so we had to use the stairs which was 3 flights. This hotel needs upgrades. Will not stay again. Also floors and walls thin.

I booked Hilton Garden Inn Shreveport for 3 nights (14th to 17th). My flight was delayed on the date of arrival (14th May) and I arrived on 15th May 2025. Hilton Garden Inn Shreveport denied me check in claiming they had cancelled the booking. But I was already charged the three days.
The manager/owner who was of Arabian origin, insisted I rebook and pay for another 2 days - he already had money for 3 days.
When I challenged him, he claimed Hotel.com would refund me for the remaining two days.
However, he threatened to call the police on me if didnt leave and commented that police would George Floyd me - a clear death threat.
This is my first direct experience of racism in the United States. The manager even threatened that he would block me from accessing any of his twelve properties and when I asked if he cared about customer service or reviews, he said he cared less.
I contacted Hotel.com who advised me to rebook another hotel as they pursued the matter with Hilton Garden Inn Shreveport. I booked, via Hotel.com, and stayed at Marriot Courtyard Shreveport for the two days. Then Hotel.com came back to say that Hilton Garden Inn Shreveport could not cancel my stay and refund. But I never asked for a cancellation - Hilton Garden Inn Shreveport unilaterally cancelled my booking and denied me check in after taking my money. So Hotel.com took money from me twice - this is unethical and outright theft of client funds

Missing items from my meal. Didn't tell me. Had to request and she says they're out. Pool broken, AC not working in the gym, water fountain not working - had to buy $3 waters. Toilets in lobby not working and water all over floor.

People partying since we arrived at the hotel at 6pm and the partying/loud people went on till midnight. Staff did not do anything about it.

Check-in was slow. Impressive lobby, clean & comfortable. Wi-Fi wasnāt free unless you were a member of the club. Extras were expensive. No special channels on TV. Breakfast buffet attendant was very helpful & accommodating. Housekeeping didnāt clean room but took our hanging towels & didnāt leave any. Called & only gave us one bath towel. Disappointed with Hilton in the past we have had very good stays.

1stnight had no ac!
The first room that we entered was already occupied! The 2nd room the ac wasnāt working and they sent someone to work on it and it didnāt work still.at 10:30 pm, they still didnāt have another room ready so we just slept in the heat!
The next morning they gave us another room but main engineer came and fixed our ac so we just stayed in current room. It was a bad situation and stinks to have paid so much for 2 nights and the first night was miserable but the employees were really nice and seemed to be doing their best.

The area was nice, the staff was nice, and overall it was a nice stay.
The room I was in the toilet was loose, felt like it might tip over. There was still masking tape on the vent in the bathroom from the last time it was painted(this is very minor), but for a room that costs nearly $200 a night I was very disappointed. Iāve had the same quality of stay at places for half the price. The only reason I stayed here was because thatās where the Air Force roomed my son the night before he shipped out to basic training.
