Visiting my kids for the holidays, I chose aloft because I’ve never had a terrible experience until now. We checked in, got settled in our room on the 5th floor and left for dinner. When we got back our key card would not unlock door. I went down and front desk came to attempt the exact same thing with no success. They contacted a really nice employee in Heather who came with a laptop to reset pad code. She tried for over 2 hours with no success. My kids and I ate our dinner on the bench of that same floor. Heather finally got us into a different room next door. She had a manager come from home to break the lock so we could get our stuff. The room we got after had a mattress with brown/red stains. This was about 2am so I slept on tha bed with my kids not wanting to sleep there but too tired to go anywhere else law. Room was really beat up. I was told over and over again that we would be compensated and finally on check out a nice front desk employee got Andrea(Manager) to meet me only to tell me that since this is a 3rd party booking, she would review my situation and add points. Whatever that means it was for her to determine later without getting my contacted information but I got her business card. Aloft failed us and my kids. I’ll be choosing another property in the future and so should you.
