We stayed in the twin room (No 6) and although we knew there wasn’t an en suite it was stated that there was a ‘private’ bathroom outside the room. This ‘private’ bathroom was only a few feet away from the bedroom door, BUT, it wasn’t lockable from the outside and was accessible to other guests who on occasion did use our ‘private’ toilet even though their rooms had en suite.
Our windows looked out on the back of the property and were directly above the kitchen vent system. As we prefer to sleep with windows open, this vent (sound and smell) caused minor issues. We understand that the kitchen vent must go somewhere and it wasn’t a big deal, but others should be aware.
Parking at the property is very limited and due to no space, we found ourselves parked in the town car park opposite. £6.50 for the few hours Friday, then a total of £26 for the Sat & Sun.
The side door to the property was handy so residents could come and go as they pleased.
We found the bar was shut at 1030pm on the Friday when we returned to the venue!
Overall, the room was clean and tidy and the beds comfortable even if a bit overpriced compared to other places we’ve used recently.
