We left at 1 am without sleeping.
The check-in process was a bit frustrating because I was trying to hear the girl at the desk over the personal call she had on speaker phone and the guy just kept talking even when she told him she had a customer.
Besides the fact that the AC didn't cool, the refrigerator didn't work, the sink and shower didn't drain, the tub was dirty, and the room itself was dirty and had trash left on the floor... The room started out with a faint cigar smell. We reported it to the front desk to make sure they knew it was there when we checked in, and not from us smoking and they offered room spray, but we expected it would fade quickly enough so we just sprayed a bit of my husband's cologne to freshen the air. Instead of fading, it changed to cigarette smell and then to the smell of marijuana, and then back to cigarette while becoming increasingly stronger and stronger. By 1 am, my husband was hoarse and my throat was burning. That's when he went on google and found multiple reviews stating that there was a horrible smell in the rooms and they were charged $150-250 for smoking in a room they didn't smoke in. The person working the front desk obviously didn't care and insisted that she just worked there and could nothing about the issues and there were no other rooms available.
We travel extensively for business and we rarely leave a bad review, and we have NEVER left in the middle of the night before this.
