We enjoyed our stay at Aqualuz Lagos by The Editory and would think about staying here again.
We arrived quite late in the evening, and unfortunately our Premium Duplex room wasn’t ready. However, the staff were really apologetic and sorted everything out quickly giving us another room on the same floor for the first night and we’re planning to move us the following day, after letting ourselves into our room we called reception and said don’t bother we’ll stay in the 2st room.
The room we stayed in was very large. It had a small kitchen area, a spacious lounge / sitting room and a really big balcony overlooking the pool area, a good-sized bedroom and two bathrooms, so we were more than comfortable, as 2 adults and a 16yr old.
The hotel itself was clean throughout, although it is dated in places. The pool was nice and the water looked lovely, but it could do with a serious makeover / maintenance. The drains were filthy filled with pine needles, litter from the wind and generally grubby, which was a shame because it would only take a little attention to make it look much better.
Breakfast was very basic but adequate, and we ate out for lunch and dinner as Lagos town is only about a 10-minute walk away with plenty of great restaurants.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was great, and with a little bit of upkeep this would be an even better hotel.
